2052 - 001 - Nachexen 17
Mother's gift this year is puzzling, at best. A journal, and a promise of a new one every time I fill the pages of one.She says that being able to track my thoughts and feelings will lead to great wisdom. Despite my skepticism, I will honor her gift and try to track such things within these pages.
Father's gift was his armor from his time in service to the throne. I take this as a grudging approval of my desire to enter in to the army, rather then follow the family path of working metal. Though I have enjoyed my studies, my heart tells me my destiny is to defend our land against the many who want to despoil it.
